Since over-resonant kick drums need reining in just as much as your snare and toms, this four-pack of Ahead ABDD Pro Kick Bass Drum Dampers have been primed for tightening up your kick sound, resulting in a more focussed and dryer response. By using these Pro Dampers, there's no need to contend with the hindered tone that happens when you stuff the shell with muffle systems or old blankets.

The Ahead ABDD Pro Kick Bass Drum Damper Pads

These purpose-designed pads are easily mounted onto the batter or resonant head of your bass drum and feature two different surfaces: one raw and one smooth. If your kick is fitted with a coated or smooth drumhead, then it's recommended to use the smooth side. If your kick is fitted with a smooth drumhead already, then it's better to use the textured side. While these pads are self-adhesive, the strength will wane over time, but the sticking-power can easily be refreshed by rinsing them under the tap. These Damper Pads measure 8 inches long and 2.5 inches wide.
